Supramolecular Pressure‐Sensitive Adhesives with Rapid, Strong, Water‐Resistant, and Underwater Adhesion

Abstract Supramolecular polymers are materials that exhibit a range of functionalities and thus find wide applicability. In this study, two natural low‐molecular‐weight compounds, thioctic acid ( TA ) phytic PA ), used to fabricate polymeric supramolecular structures. The coexistence dynamically covalently linked poly( hydrogen bond moieties result in copolymeric with different dynamic features. obtained ‐ )s show rapid strong adhesion on variety artificial surfaces, high 180° peeling, lap‐shear, pull‐off strengths over temperature (−18 °C 60 °C) humidity (20−99%) ranges. also display good stability the presence water, even stable long‐lasting underwater adhesion. Hence, synthesized )s, which have water resistance, suitable for use as sealing various applications, highlighting applicability polymer surface coatings
